Over a period of time, I started to fall in love with Track and Field. In particular, the Discus throw. After High school, I plan to attend college and pursue a higher degree. I strongly believe in being a Student Athlete, where the Student part always comes first. I also believe that to be truly successful in a sport, you must be willing to give 100% effort and accept help from coaches. I can always improve, that is why I am constantly practicing when I can and asking my coaches to help me to learn and grow in my knowledge and skill. My favorite quote from one of my coaches is "Don't live and die by every throw. You get multiple. Make them count." I love this quote because it shows me that its okay to mess up because we all do it, just don't let one mistake ruin everything else. Fix the one mistake and keep going and giving it your all. Another one of my favorite quotes is "Big dogs on meet day, hungry dogs everyday." I feel like this really repsents how much effort Input into the sport. When its meet day, I give everything I have, and when its practice, I give everything and Im eager to get better for my team and learn new things.
This sport gave me something to look forward to even when I had a bad day. Our coaches are some of the most amazing coaches ever and I respect them for everything they do for us, on and off the track. I have often found that even when I've been injured, it would bring me joy to see the success of my teammates. I am passionate about this sport because it showed me that blood isn't just your family, but those girls on your team are too. It also gave me a reason to try and better myself.

I currently do not know where I would like to attend College and I would like to try and keep an open mind when deciding where to attend after my high school graduation in spring of 2026.
