My goal is to get a degree in science/psychology. I really love to train in sport and to be fit and healthy. I have competed since I was around 7, first in swimming and volleyball and now in track. I am super competitive, especially with myself and I am always trying to better my technique and my times. I have my NCCP community coaching certificate and making ethical decisions course . I am also a certified lifeguard. I enjoy helping and coaching the younger athletes and being a positive role model for them.
Track is a new sport for me (3 years) and in my first season I came 6th in 80 mh at Legion Youth Nationals (Canada). In my second I season I medaled in both 80mh (2nd) and 1st in 300 mH at BC High School Provincials. ( 4th in Long jump). In 2019 I won the BCHS in 400mh came 3rd in 100mh . My 400mh time ranked me #1 in Canada for most of the season in U 18 (ended up second ). With that time I made standard for U18 Team Canada for 2019 NACAC Championships and U18 Team BC standard. At Legion Youth Nationals I won a bronze medal and a pb in 100mh 14.88(-2.5) . I also ran to a bronze medal in the 400 mh with my second best time of the season 103.12
What I love about track is that it is an individual sport within a team environment where there is always support and encouragement for each other. I have always been told that I am very coachable, hardworking, determined and given the opportunity I would love to continue to develop my speed and technique in university while working towards my goal of becoming a psychologist.
