Starting Pole Vaulting as a Junior may have set me behind the recruiting process for competing in college, but after only 2 months of picking up a pole, I had cleared 8'6 and made it to CIF FInals. As of now, I am competing with a Pole Vaulting Club to further my training and goal to clear 12 feet by the end of this school year. Determined and mentally strong, I know I can clear 12 feet. As a person who never quits, I will always keep trying no matter how long it takes me. After surfing for a few years, last year I was ranked 2nd Overall in Girls Shortboard for Division 1 high school. Surfing has helped me in Pole Vaulting mentally and physically. I go by this quote everyday, " If you want to succeed as much as you want to breath, then you will be successful" - Muhammad Ali. There are no days off, until I achieve my goals of greatness.
