After running for my school for four years I learned that my biggest race is the last race of every season but my biggest opponent is myself. Most people join the sport but do not bother staying, sometimes they do not even finish the season because they were not good enough or because school had gotten in the way. I learned how to manage my time with school and sports which made it easier for me to stay in these sports. Even though I sometimes felt that I was not good enough I still decided to stay because quitting will only make it harder to improve and I was not about to give up after how far I have gotten and how much I had improved. Since I have been dedicated to both of my sports I have also been made captain for both my junior and senior year for both Cross Country and Track teams.
