
I am a Long distance runner and run about 32-42 miles per week with an average pace of 9:00min per mile and can run a mile in 7:15. I have been running for 6 years and I have been on a tack team for one of those years. Currently I run every day on my own but I really want to start running with a cross country team . Ever since I started running I have always wanted to be on a team in college. This is espicaly important to me because I went to an alterative high school that did not offer any sports and so we really did not have any school spirt.running is extremely important to me, not only does it help me keep healthy It does so much more. I have Autism spectrum disorder and a learning disability along with mental heath issues. Running As helped me to deal these issues. Because I have ASD I tend to want to control things and running as helped me to create order when things may be out of control in my life. Running is my life with out it I do not know who I would be. Running to me is not just because I want to keep healthy. It so much more then that its part of who I am. Its in my blood.
I want to be on a team Becuse i want to be advocate fot those with learning disabilities and ASD. I want to show others that just becuse we have these things does not mean we are not cable of playing a sport. we are just as cable.i want to show people thats its ok to be diffrent.
I am working hard every day to get my times down thats one good thing about me, I work super harder everyday and never give up.
