I aspire to compete and pursue my academic interests at the collegiate level and succeed while doing so. I want to lead by making a positive impact and difference, as well as the best teammate I can be on and off the track in the college program that best fits me. I love motivating my teammates and empowering them to be motivated in what they do. I've realized that sports encourage me to be the best version of myself that I can possibly be. I am a multi-sport athlete and have grown up playing most sports, including basketball, tennis, volleyball, softball, soccer, and cross country. Running track has taught me to never give up and be determined in whatever I do. I am a confident student-athlete that has developed character and learned to grow and adapt. I have always been positive and happy to learn more about what I can do to improve. I am a very hard worker in the classroom and track, training to the best of my ability. I have been varsity team captain of my basketball and track & field team, receiving All-League Honors awards. A few of my strengths when I run my events include a steady stride from the start line to a fast, aggressively strong kick to the finish line. As involved as I am in sports, I am just as involved in school. I am involved with student publications, leadership organizations and clubs, such as FCA (Federation of Christian Athletes) and Big Brothers Big Sisters. I maintain a high GPA, am involved in many extra-curriculars and enjoy giving back to the community by doing volunteer service, including National Charity League, Boys and Girls Club, and a club that I created which is Soles Worth Saving where my members and I collect athletic shoes from people that no longer use them and donate them to charities or donation centers. I also used to be a girl scout, so I have had years of experience of helping my community for the better. I am grateful for the support of my family, teammates, and coaches.
