I started my passion in sports at an early age, when I joined a tennis club at the age of 4, then participated in a volleyball club from ages 7 to 8, and then a track club at age 11. I continued training in track when I started my freshman year in high school year. During this first season, I learned a lot from my coaches and fellow team members, and my passion in the sport grew more everyday as I found excitement in the competition and continuous eagerness to PR in every opportunity I was given. As much as I enjoy running in individual events, I very much enjoy running with my fellow relay team members and the bonds I've built with each of them on and off the track.
Track and field motivates me to be a better person and athlete, and has allowed me to grow both physically and mentally. It has also taught me the importance of conditioning, nutrition and health. While being an athlete is a passion of mine, being a student is always my top priority, as I continue to balance all life has to offer while trying to maintain "Scholar Athlete" status. I hope to be able to continue in my track and field journey into my college years as it's something I truly love doing!
