Personal Statement
This year, winning the Baseline League Championship triple and long jump as a sophomore was the peak of my high school career. I feel like I have grown as an athlete despite COVID-19 because my freshman year was taken from me. I used my downtime to work on myself as an athlete and set high goals that I knew I could reach and in time accomplish.
As a freshman, I was very lucky pre-COVID to run once and show my athletic abilities in the 4x100, and fortunately, we placed 1st. Over the past few years, I have learned the value of cooperation, dedication, sacrifice, and guidance. I am looking forward to a school that will constantly challenge me in my athletics and academics while making my college experience fun and one to remember. I feel that I have the talent to compete for a college team. As an athletic and adaptive athlete, I know that I have the talent and ability to learn new things to become a great team leader and an even better athlete.
