Personal Statement

I’m a senior distance runner at IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL), originally from Ecuador. I was recruited to IMG on scholarship and train under Coach William Lawson. After a health setback last year, I’ve come back stronger and more consistent, averaging disciplined weekly mileage and leading my training group.

Coaches and teammates know me for my unparalleled work ethic, coachability and resilience. My proudest moments include national-level races in Ecuador, completing the Quito 15K at 10,000 ft in 1:08, and running a 5:10. Training

This summer I mainly fussed in strength training and inverting my mileage.
5 years
I start running in 4th graded but I stared to train seriously in the pandemic. There I focused in long distances but last year I had an injury and was out for the grand majority of the year. Lately this summer I focus on strength training and increasing my mileage up to 40 miles.
