I go to Crossroad Academy Charter School and I’m in the 8th grade. My name is Tyesha Murray, and I participate in sports.
Basketball is my favorite sport, but it's not where my heart is. I started playing sports in the fifth grade after attending a basketball camp. I played basketball for those two years, then switched to track in seventh grade, where I surprised myself by how much I liked it. I was quite eager to attend because I believed a part of me belonged there. Even though the track season has ended, I'll continue practice on the weekends and after school. This year's track season was enjoyable for me.
I consider myself to be an overachiever; I detest being ordinary and enjoy pushing my limits. To jumpstart my career, I wish to graduate early. I already know what classes I need to take to graduate early from Gadsden County High School, where I will be going the following year. Yet because I have a connection to track, I also want to make a profession out of it rather than just using it as a pastime. I want to receive offers and attend a college where my sport will allow me to feel at ease and confident.
