I work hard academically and physically to excel in every area of my life. My team jokes that I am the "team mom” because I love and take care of them, while working hard at every practice and pushing them to do their best.
I fell in love with running in 9th grade when I joined cross country and made the varsity team. I find this sport incredibly rewarding due to the intensity and discipline it takes to push my body to its limits. My motivation to work hard and do my best is tied to my belief that we can honor God with everything we do, if we do it to the best of our ability.
I also love being on a team of people who work hard everyday to improve themselves! I love the encouragement that I give and receive everyday. Being an athlete teaches you to have a motivated and positive mindset, and I feel that I have grown tremendously as a person due to this sport.
I can‘t imagine my future after high school without a team to encourage me, push me, and teach me to be a better athlete. It would be a dream to run in college and continue to compete for my school and reach personal records while pursuing a career in the medical field.
