Walden Jones '18 Recruiting Profile

I am thinking about studying environmental engineering in collage, I really want to have an impact on a more sustainable future. I am very academic and love to learn, but I only work well with a balance of sport and school. I think the cross country experience in collage would be incredible: traveling to meets, competing, and have a group of friends during and after college. 

Academically my best subject is math, which was further pushed when I attended a very selective Governors Honors Program in Georgia last summer. I am taking AP calculus as a Junior and loving the course so far, second only to AP Physics. In school I play in the Philharmonic Orchestra and am taking AP Art. Both challenge me in completely different ways, I love it.

I love to laugh and am always happy, and I always add a cheerful note to any team situation. I am always up for a challenge and a great problem solver, and try my best to think of the team before myself.
