2021 Spotlight
2021 HighlightsSports are an outlet for me and where I am my most comfortable self. I am athletic, extremely driven, a hard worker and love being a good teammate. Being turned down repeatedly from basketball taught me that failure is an opportunity to pick yourself up, try again and that any goal is attainable if you are willing to do the work. I focused on meeting my basketball goals, which I did, all while continuing to compete in track. I have been running track since I was seven years old and always planned to compete in college. Track is a positive, fun, and rewarding area of my life. I love the community spirit in track, the supportiveness and the individuality that comes with both contributing to your team and excelling personally. In eighth grade I ran for the high school and came in second in the JV County meet for the 400M. As a Freshman I competed in varsity meets and today hold the first or second time in the 100, 200, 400, and Long Jump for my school. I work hard academically and pride myself on getting good grades. I am interested in a degree in criminology and forensic science.
