I am excited to be joining the NCSA Recruiting Program and I would like to share with you some of my goals and accomplishments. I want to get my bachelor's degree in Ultrasound Sonography because I have always wanted to make people happy and help anyone in need. The joy of other people has always brought me more happiness than I could imagine. I hope to graduate from college with honors and I would love to continue my running career as well. I push extremely hard when it comes to running and even if I have nothing in me by the end of a race, I always find the strength to finish strong and push through the pain. I try to be my team and other teams' biggest cheerleader when watching other races because I love to encourage others in any aspect of their life.
I am a try-hard when it comes to my academics, I put in a lot of effort in anything I do because I want to better myself each day. Pushing myself as an athlete, student, and a person in the outside world is what makes me want to be the best for not only myself, but everyone around me as well. I was born with a Middle Cerebral Infarction which means I am weak on the entire right side of my body. However, that still does not stop me from pushing myself to be the best athlete I can be and striving for every goal that I want to accomplish. I am different from other recruits because yes, I am not the fastest runner on the team, but I still endeavor to work hard for any coach that I have and will have in the future. I do not let my disability define me; I choose to embrace it because it makes me the person I am.
