Running is the one of the few places in my soul is free. (Well other than crushing my pervious PR) If I have had a bad day and I want to cry or run my head into a wall it brings me joy that sometimes I just need. When the world feels heavy running is my escape, my happy place, the one place where I'm free. Running, pushing my body to move faster is exhilarating. I use strength training to improve my endurance and speed out of the blocks. Even in a classroom environment I use the same techniques to push myself to go the extra mile and get the A that I know I deserve. Challenges don't scare me, they push me to be a better student and athlete.
This summer I will be at the COR Athletics Clinic on July 12th and 13th at Conley Stadium in Providence, RI. This will be the first track event I will be at since having compete ACL and meniscus surgery. I am very excited for I have missed the track, hopefully I can prove to myself and the coaches that you knock me down but I get right back up again.
