While sophomore year was my first in track and field, I have found myself to thoroughly enjoy the sport and strive to improve in it. Due to the pandemic, I finally got to learn high jumping in my junior year. At my third meet I cleared 4'8" and won at conference. Further understanding the technicalities of high jumping will allow me to clear higher hights, which is my summer goal. My overall goal in this sport is to continuously become a better athlete, person, and competitor.
I am looking to attend a college where I can push myself as a student and as an athlete. I am interested in aviation and flight operation for future study. Financial support from my college is very important to me, because I know that education is expensive and my parent’s have worked very hard.
Academically and athletically, my teachers describe me as a perfectionist. I know that can be both good and bad, but I've learned to not get discouraged right away. I am always ready to learn and improve. Both teachers and coaches have described me as ambitious, steadfast, and strong-willed. I am not a super loud person, but I make sure to lead by example.
Since I have over 11 years of experience as a dancer, I have learned that I am highly determined. As a teammate, I offer encouragement, support and commitment. I give my utmost respect and attention to my teammates and coaches and strive to be a positive presence.
