Personal Statement
I have many collegiate goals and aspirations. Some of those are as follows:
- When I go to college my goal is to be a successful student- athlete. I expect my hard work to be reflected in the class room and on the track. My plan is to major in Business with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship.
- I plan to consistently improve my time in the 400M and become a better student-athlete overall. I will achieve this by gradually increasing my weight training and having more strenuous workouts.
- I feel that in some ways I am very different from other recruits for example, I have the unique experience of attending a high school that does not have a sports program. I am bussed over to another high school everyday to participate in their sports program. The two things that I care very much about are my studies, and athletics. Although my studies and athletics are in two different environments, I have been able to adjust and maintain the mental focus it takes to juggle two schools on a daily basis. I really appreciate this experience and have come to embrace it.
- Due to my prior successes with my academic studies, I am motivated to continue to maintain my grades along with participating in sports year round.
