Alexis Andersen '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello,  I'm Alexis (Lexi) Andersen.  I'm currently a senior at Grayslake Central High School in Grayslake, Illinois.  I fell in love with track and especially the field event in seventh grade.  I have made my way around several different events including High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, and sprints.  My early track years included Pole Vaulting and 100 Hurdles.  I look forward to continuing my track and academic career at the next level.   

I am also a four year (8 season) varsity cheerleader.  I have been part of one of the most decorated teams in northern Illinois including multiple conference and sectional titles and the 2019 IHSA State Champions.  I typically overlap my competitive cheer season with the indoor track season.  I have learned to manage my commitments and enjoy the hustle of keeping busy.  

One thing that stands out about me is my quite leadership skills.  I am an athlete the coaches can go to to help a struggling athlete, get practice started, recruit new members or jump in to fill a gap.
