Danielle Yakhnis '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Danielle Yakhnis and I am a sophomore at Glenbrook North High School. I joined track late in the 2023 season, but in the short time, have fallen in love with the program. Track has helped me build and strengthen relationships and has taught me how to be resilient. My goal is to compete in Long Jump on a college level while also pursuing my dream of becoming a doctor. Competing makes me feel a sense of acomplishment and allows me a chance to grow together with my team. Track may be a sport that is not played as a team but being supportive, cheering people on and having a positive attitude is incredibly important to me. I am passionate about learning both in school and on the field, therefore, I take advice from my coaches seriously and work hard to improve my performance. Getting into a school that will allow me to pursue my dream and nourish my passion.
