I love running because the lessons you learn in the sport draw parallels to those necessary for life. It has taught me perseverance and determination. Running also has enabled me to build long-lasting friendships among teammates. I grew up watching my parents run, and was shown how running is a lifelong sport that provides balance and positivity. When I joined the intramural cross country team in 4th grade, I knew I had found my sport. I truly believe that running has made me a stronger person on and off the track. My goal is to continue my running career at the collegiate level where I can continue to grow into my potential and compete while developing lifelong friendships and pursue my academic goals.
