Hi, I’m Ella Neihls! I’m a junior at Teutopolis High School, a school in the middle of nowhere known for nothing besides having quite an odd mascot, the wooden shoe. I’ve jumped around different sports my whole life: from tumbling, gymnastics, tennis, and cheerleading to cross country and track. No other sport can even compare to the connection I have with track. I now know that I would want nothing more than to continue my track career in college. I am always the first to practice and the last to leave. I think I could stay forever if my coaches would let me. I practice outside of scheduled practices and get a good sprint or jump in whenever it is possible. I love horizontal jumps, but our school doesn’t have a coach trained in helping me grow my skill. I think that if I had some guidance, I could really excel. I also take my academics very seriously. I have a 3.98 unweighted GPA, and I’ve always been on high honor roll. I have also taken almost all the difficult classes my school offers to prepare me for college. Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it!
