Personal Statement
My mother first introduced me into competitive running at the age of nine. We started out with longer distances, but it was soon obvious that sprinting was my stronger side. My mom has always helped me with track, because she ran in both High School and College. I have always liked the idea of competing in a sport at the college level. I feel that throughout the years track has helped me to develop into a better version of myself through confidence, teamwork, and opportunities to lead and teach. Ever since I was younger I have always had the strive to be my best self, both on the track and in the classroom.
