Finally beating our rivalry team in an event and winning athlete of the meet was definitely the highlight of my high school sports career. Having experienced these monumental moments has really change my perspective as not only an athlete individually, but what it really means to be apart of a team. Going through years of blood, sweat, and tears, pushing yourself to the ultimate max, just so it pushes your team that much closer to victory and being able to celebrate all the hard work we put onto track, is a feeling words can't even come close to explain.
Other than the feeling of stepping onto the track during practice or meets, knowing that im capable of running track in college makes me more passionate for this sport. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work my hardest and to keep not only mine, but my teammates heads up.
When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options vary. I am mainly looking for schools in my home state (indiana), but it's good to keep my options open. I try to keep an open mind about colleges and hope to just find a college that fits me best. Im looking for a college that would be a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. My top three choices for a major as of right now is either Physical Therapy, Exercise Science, or Orthodontistry.
My realistic athletic goal is continue playing the sport I love at a high competitive level. Being an example for those around and after me is essential. I strongly believe that I have the leadership skills, work ethic, and pasion to make the impact you're looking for on your team!
