Makayla Gumbel '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Senior attending Fremont High School. Through my years of running and other sports, I have learned that hard work and consistency are needed to make yourself better in every way. In my Freshman year, I struggled and believed that I could never be a good runner. After my season was over I decided to push myself during the off-season rather than not running at all. Sophomore year came about. I learned that the hard work that I did for running paid off since I achieved far greater things than I thought were possible for me to do. I believe myself to be consistent with many things I do and, I also see myself achieve far better things at a collegiate level.
