Hello, my name is Ryanne Lacy and I am a current Junior at Winchester Community High School. I strive for being the best person I can be whether that is in the classroom or on the field. I have managed kept a 4.0 GPA throughout my whole high school career, no matter how challenging. I also am part of our school’s 4x400 relay team and we broke our school record TWICE and made it to Regionals with a time of 4:12. My best time was 1:00 for my 400 split, however my best open 400 time is 1:02. I plan on pushing myself this coming track season and possibly break our school’s 400 meter record.
I have shown leadership as Drum Major for our school’s marching band. This includes being responsible for myself and others, getting to practice at least an hour before it starts, and leaving when everything has been completed and everyone else has gone home. I believe that having the title of an upper classman in anything I do means that the younger kids look up to me and try to develop similar characteristic. Because of this, I am more aware of how I act and try to be the best role model so can possibly be.
I am looking for colleges anywhere from the west and midwest regions. There are a lot of different opportunities everywhere and I’d like to discover what fits me best. Campus size is a big deal to me, because education is one of the main reason to go to college. Getting to be able to have one on one talks with professors is something important to me. Building positive relationships with team members and having a family like relationship is also something I am seeking.
I can’t wait to see what the next two years hold for me and I plan on hopefully running a sub minute this coming 2022 track season! In college I plan on pursuing elementary education and becoming a role model for my future students.
