To whom it may concern,
My name is Chloe Nicolas-Etienne and I am a grade 12 student at Villanova College in Canada. I have been doing Track and Field for two years now and although I haven’t been doing the sport for very long, I have found great success in it. In just my first year of track and field, I have broken two school records (for 200m and high jump), taken the CISAA (Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association) record for junior girls high jump, and have gotten ninth place at OFSAA ( Ontario federation of school athletic association) for junior girls' high jump. This year, progressing with my track career I am currently training with Quest Sports Track and Field owned by Donna Clarke a former Canadian Olympian heptathlete, and have set a new school record for senior girl's long jump from 4.99m to 5.04 m. My athletic goal is to run and jump with the top athletes in the world.
My goals are to run and jump post-secondary (preferably division I) and one day hold a national or world record. I don't believe in putting in half of my effort in anything that I do, it's either 100% or nothing and this level of dedication will get me to where I want to be and when I want to get there.
Academically, I am a Headmaster's roll student (which means 85 or above in all my classes) with a 4.0 GPA. I am a member of the debate club, mock trail club, track and field varsity team, bible club, mass choir, senior choir, and concert band.
At school, I am a leader for a religious retreat at my school called Kairos. Five Kairos leaders are chosen out of the grade 11 girls and my duty is to organize and lead the retreat next year. I am also a peer mentor at my school. Peer mentorship is an opportunity given to a select group of grade 11 students to mentor, lead, and support the grade nines/freshmen. Continuing with my leadership roles at school, I am also a school ambassador. In this role, I give guided tours of the school to prospective students and am an overall representative of the school. I have been accepted into the 2024/25 leadership class. This is a class for which we must apply, and interview, to join. Our duty next year will be to be religious, academic, and social role models for the entire school.
