I have been running track and field since the age of nine. Ever since I first stepped onto the track, I have fell in love with the sport. Since then, my dream to compete in collegiate track and field has grown throughout the years and I realize the effort, determination, and pure willpower that is needed to succeed.
Track has made me stronger, physically and mentally. It has taught me countless life lessons like without failure, there is no room for improvement. Also, it has taught me that, winning a race is not always guaranteed, but can be achieved through hard work, persistence and dedication. Nothing comes easy in life, success is achieved though failure. Track prepared me for failure, for success, and for disappointment. It showed me that even when I am successful, or if I don't succeed , there is still tomorrow to try harder because there is always room for improvement. It has taught me sportsmanship, teamwork and it pushes me to my best abilities.
I have quick feet and great technique. Along with that, I am a team leader and try to set an example for the rest of my peers, on and off the track. I try to encourage and offer positive motivation to my teammates as well. My personality leaves me very coachable and I desire criticism to become a stronger student athlete. Effort is what I am known for, and my belief in giving 200% rests high on my priorities. This includes in the classroom, on the track, and as a recruit.
In the classroom I am focused and determined to always do my best foot forward. My mindset is to attend a college where I can challenge myself in both the academic and athletic realm of things. I am open to ALL options and want t ultimately find the college that is the best fit for me, academically and athletically. With these things said, I desire to compete at the highest level possible, positively impacting myself and the college I choose. Above all else, I aspire to become a successful student athlete, and role model to those around me, making my Savior and parents proud.
