Ruby Hughes '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been running since the age of 10 and have loved every minute of it.  I love the social aspect and team environment of distance running and training with a squad.  Middle distance up to XC are my preferred events where I have had success as an 11, 12 and 13-year old winning multiple national titles in the 800m & 1500m whilst also medalling in the XC at Nationals.  Through Covid we were unable to compete as much and although I continued to train I also gave my body time to develop and grow.  This has now given me the extra motivation to achieve my goal to continue my athletic and academic future in the College system.  I am a focused, dedicated student and athlete and would love the opportunity to compete in the NCAA.
