While the Virgin Islands is small in comparison to the rest of the world, our athletes have proven that we have just as big a heart and love for the world of Track and Field as any of the larger countries. I have competed and medaled in local, regional and international meets such as 2017 NACAC Age Group Championship [Pentathlon - Bronze Medalist], 2018 Atlanta Georgia Relays, 2019 Atlanta Georgia Relays, 2019 NACAC Age Group Championship [Heptathlon] and the 2019 CARIFTA Games. I also qualified as a part of the BVI's National team for the 2020 and 2021 Carifta Games, however these meets were canceled due to the pandemic.
Most recently, June 2022, I have competed in the 2022 Carifta Games in Kingston, Jamaica. At this meet, I was able to place 2nd in the heptathlon and help the BVI's National 4 x 400m team gain a silver medal.
As a heptathlete, I love and enjoy what I do. I consider myself a very hard- working and versatile athlete who is willing to take on the challenge of such a feat. Over the years, my parents and my coach, Mr. Carl Barrett, have instilled in me values that would help me as I travel this athletic journey of which I have considered a huge part of who I am. Having developed as a previous pentathlete, I continue to work on my craft with the aim of making my mark. I am eagerly looking forward to becoming a part of a collegiate team that will allow me to continue growing both academically and athletically while helping to build my team.
