I've worked my entire life to be able to play college sports. I'm a multi-sport athlete, participating in high school basketball as well as high school/competitive golf. Golf was always my first love, it has taught me to trust in myself and understand that it's okay to make mistakes. It's taught me to work hard and persevere, to always have hope and belief in myself. However, spring season of my freshman year, my assistant golf coach insisted that I try track. I instantly fell in love with the sport and the people that comprise it. Losing last year to covid was devastating for everyone, especially young athletes such as myself who had just barely scratched the surface of the sport. I've worked extremely hard over the past year with the hopes of accomplishing the goals and marks I'd set for myself freshman year, even with the loss of a season. This constant motivation and drive to succeed at this sport is what makes me a good choice for any competitive track program. I am a versatile, competitive athlete myself but I also enjoy the team aspect of the sport. Along with athletics, I am very interested in getting a good education during my collegiate years. I'm extremely interested in math and engineering and would fully enjoy pursuing a career in one of these fields. I promise if you give me a chance, I won't disappoint. I will keep pushing and working until I achieve everything you believe I can and more.
