In 2017, I realized I liked running so I got into track to see if it really suited me. At first it was hard, but over time I got used to the feel of running on a daily basis and I realized that I enjoyed the competing aspect. I feel as if I grew the most when I had an ankle fracture and couldn't run. It took me having an injury to realize what track does for me and how much it means to me. Starting back, I am commited to working my way up and doing the best I can on and off the track. I want to grow more in track and I would like to join a program that will benefit me both academically in school as I would like to major in Biology, and benefit me athletically. In school currently, I am taking classes that help prepare me for college. I believe my work ethic and ability to handle a lot helps me to be a better athlete because I have the patience and time to work on what needs to be prioritized and then I move on to whatever else needs work. I am a part of 2 sports, many different clubs, and violin so I feel as if I can manage my time easily. Throughout my time running track so far, I have learned a lot about resilience and not backing down when times get hard. Track has benefitted me in many different ways and I can't wait to see how my journey will go in the future.
