Alexis B Murry '13 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Alexis Murry. I am 5'5, weigh 115, and I can run any distance I set my mind to but I am more of a mid-distance runner. I have created this profile in order to gain a better chance at being recruited into a college. I attend Henry E. Lackey high school and plan on attending college Fall 2013. I've been running track since I was in the 5th grade. I have competed in middle school track meets, summer track teams, and now high school. I enjoy playing any sport in general, but I have a passion for track. I'm always hoping to improve my times and become a better athelete. My coaches consider me a leader of the team. I lead team streches and drills, always at the front of workouts encouraging my teammates to keep going even when their tired. There has been times when I Have felt bad and like I couldn't practice but I know others follow what I do, so I try my hardest and they do the same. I've only missed one practice in my whole high school career, and that was for a doctor's appointment. My hardwork has paid off. I've placed 4th in the 300m dash and 4x400m at states, made 1st team all SMAC in the 55m hurdles, made 2nd team all state in the 4x200m relay, and even competed national at the AAU Junior Olympic Games four times, Penn Relays and plan on doing the same again this year. Not only do I try my best in sports but I also try my best in school. I am currenting taking a Ap class and will be taking multiple next year. I've been on the honor roll all my life, never had anything lower then a B on my report card, and my highest G.P.A is a 4.45. It is important to me that I keep my grades up because I believe without good grades you can't play sports and without great grades you won't stand out. My goal is to become the most athletic female and the valordictorian of the class of 2013. I know it will take alot of work but I am already number 12 out of 300+ sophomores and I will become number 1 by my senior year. When I am older, I would like to be a pediatrican. With this being said, I would like to go to a college with a nice medical program. Size, division, and locations doesn't really matter to me, but I will say, I would like to go to a school that I can trust to help me become successful in life. College is my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice. I hope I am your 1st choice also. Thank you for your time.
