Ana Carolina Machado '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Ana Carolina Machado and I am a student at Middleboro High School. I run Indoor and Outdoor Track as well as Cross-Country. With my PRs being 800 2:31, 4x400 (split) 1:06, 1000 3.22, 600 1:52, 1 Mile 5:42, and 5k 21:44. 

My awards include the Sachem award for switching from sprinter to mid-distance to help my team. League All Star in my Winter and Cross Country seasons and MVP for my Cross Country team with 5 individual wins. 

I started out as a sprinter and ran my first indoor and outdoor seasons in Junior Varsity as a 55 and 4x200(JV) runner. While my times were great for a first time runner. I wanted to do more to be a faster sprinter. I joined Cross Country my Sophomore year and met a group of amazing people who inspired me to run better and love running. Though I didn't get faster until the end of my season and the beginning of Indoor Track. Where I was switched from sprinting to mid-distance and I was able to run my fastest times and qualify for divisionals. My running career has been full of fantastic people and personal growth along with setbacks that allowed me to come back stronger. I am consistent with my training on and off season, with or without others. I am a hard worker both on the track and in school being in National Honors Society and Student Council.
