I started running Cross Country in my Sophomore year with a personal best of 21:59. I really enjoyed the sport and environment. I made progressive improvement throughout the season.
Throughout High School I have been on a competitive club cheer year round. Therefore, I am unable to focus solely on Cross Country and Track while in season. I would love an opportunity to continue my running career in college with more focus on my running training to see what improvements I can make as a runner. I am a hard worker with good time management skills.
My senior year started out well; however, I got COVID mid-season and it took me a while to recover and regain my strength and never got to run at my peak. I feel like with proper training, a full season and my determination I could be a good asset to a team.
In track I really enjoy 100h and LJ. With COVID taking away my sophomore season, I was able to make a lot of improvement from my freshman to junior year. I am looking forward to more improvement in my senior year. I plan to work on strength and extra training through the winter around my cheer schedule.
