I started throwing when I was in 7th grade after I didn’t make the softball team and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have also played volleyball, basketball, soccer, golf, and I plan on powerlifting this winter to continue building my strength and prepare for the upcoming season. The summer of 2018 I found out I tore my labrum in my shoulder and soon after in November I had surgery to repair it. I then started my 3-month recovery and went through physical therapy. I contacted a throwing coach from Cadillac high school to help me work on my technique and form to get ready for the season. I finished recovery just in time for track season and had a successful 2018 season. Through this adversity is when I decided I was interested in throwing after high school. During the summer I attended an elite throws coaching camp held by Matt Ellis at Allegheny College. I would like to major in genetics or biology in hopes of becoming geneticist or clinical genetic technologist.
