Olivia Giza '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Olivia Giza, a Senior graduating class of 2024. I was a 200, 400, and 800 meter runner from Goodrich, Mi and now transferred to Grand Blanc High School in Grand Blanc, Mi.  

My 400 time is a 58.80 as a sophomore, 800 time is a 2:21 as Freshman, and my mile time was a 5:15.  I am very versatile, as my Coaches have used me anywhere from the 200 up to the 1 mile.  My goal this year, as a senior is to improve on my times. I am currently on 810 track team from Flint Mi for the upcoming indoor season. This will be my first season running for Grand Blanc High School which will be extremely exciting for me to compete at a division 1 school, on a team with incredibly talented runners.

  My GPA is 3.0 I am enjoying my forensic science class and am considering criminal justice in college. Sports medicine and nutrition are also subjects I am very interested in, I have been researching programs, classes and careers to help figure out what would be the best fit for me.

In addition to track I have played Lacrosse my junior year for Goodrich as well as a club team. I believe this experience has taught me to be a better teammate overall. I learned how to communicate, recognize the talents of others and cooperation. I was able to use my track skills to practice ball handling, catching, passing and encouraging my teammates, to help me grow as an athlete. I also realized my passion for running and have decided to focus on Track for my senior year and beyond.
