I am on the newer side of track and field. I started running fully in 8th grade and really started to focus on track my freshman year, finding a passion for it. My sophomore year is when I really decided I want to take it to the next level and run at the collegiate level. I am a very hard worker and take my training very seriously. I am almost always at the gym working on my speed, strength, and explosiveness. I am a very cheerful person and will always cheer on the team no matter what team they're on. I am always trying my best and working myself hard to improve. Running track has shown me things about myself I didn't know I could do; it has also taught me sportsmanship, respect, kindness, and what it is to be a good athlete. I may get in my head sometimes, but pushing through it and seeing the good outcome of it is always a reward.
In the classroom, I am also just as hardworking as I am on the track. I am a good listener and always try my best to keep my grades up. I would love to find a college that values education just as much as it values athletics. Finding a college that has a team that is like family and has an overall great environment on and off the track would be one I would love to be a part of. I work on my schoolwork just as much as I train, no matter if it's homework, tests, or exams; I value it just as much as I value running.
