Personal Statement
I aspire to compete at a college where I can be successful and reach my full potential by being pushed by the athletes around me. These past track seasons and my first cross country season have taught me many things, including not to get down on yourself when your races aren't going the way you want them to, and they've taught me to how to build lasting relationships with people in all areas of my life. These lessons and relationships helped me become the Minnesota state 800 meter champion this past track season. Most importantly, track and cross country have helped me develop a love for running and deep respect for the difficulty of racing and competing. I love running and making new memories with teammates, and I focus on becoming a better runner every day whether it's at practice or in the off season. My academics are extremely important to me, and I always try to learn as much as I can by doing what's expected of me and more at school and in my community.
