As a cross country/track and field runner and student, I am a hardworker who is determined and self-driven. I always strive to improve and do the best that I am capable of. I believe and have been told that I am extremely coachable and will do and perform anything asked of me in practices or competitions.
I have always enjoyed running, and therefore decided to join my high school's cross country program as an 8th grader. I immediately fell in love with the difficulty of the sport and the amazing supportive team that inevitably comes with such challenges. I have now been running cross country and track for 4 years and have been on varsity and competed in the MN State Cross Country meet for all four of those years. This past season, as a junior, I was the captain of the girls cross country team. I enjoy being captain because I am able to spread encouragement and lead by example as my captains had when I was an underclassman. Other sports that I have competed in were competitive swimming where I swam distance freestyle and breastroke. I competed at state, long course and short course, from 2012-2018. This year (2020) I also joined my school's Nordic Skiing team where I earned a varsity letter, Individual Conference title, and helped my team to take home our Conference Championship title. I work hard and always give 100% to all the activities and sports in which I participate and compete in.
In the classroom, I am focused and driven to always do my best. I am an honors student and have pushed myself to take a wide variety of all offered AP classes. This year (2019-2020) I also had the opportunity to give back to my community and become a member of my school's National Honor Society.
I am extremely dedicated to everything I set my mind to. I always give 100% effort and try my hardest to perform to the best of my ability.
