I have only been running for three years now but it has become an enormous piece of my life. It started off as just a way to meet new people and try something out of my comfort zone, but that quickly changed. It turned into a desire to push further than I ever have in order to see what I am truly capable of accomplishing. Within the last year or so it has become my goal to train and prepare myself to be at the collegiate level.
I strive to be a leader on and off the track, through academics and behavior. I study hard and maintain a high GPA because my grades are very important to me and where I want to go for a career path. I will always give my best effort and am willing to do whatever it takes to become the best I can be, and also to serve as an example to peers because I take being a "team" very seriously. I take all advice to heart and execute instruction to the best of my ability in everything I do.
I want to be able to find the college where I can challenge myself in academics and on the track. I ultimately want to attend a place that is a match for me and that will lead me down a successful road to the future. I hope to do this in order to prove to myself what I am capable of achieving, to be a positive example for others, and to make my friends and family proud.
