Growing up it has always been my dream to become a pediatrician. The thought of working with kids, helping them grow and develop has always been a reason for me to aspire in school academically, socially and athletically. In the future, I hope to become a pediatrician who works with the United Nations and makes a difference. As a person, I set my goals high because I believe if you do you'll never be able to say "what if" or "I could've". Throughout my life, I've changed schools about 12 times. I've realized doing so has made my personality more open to new ideas, and adjustments. Qualities such as being adaptive, while still maintaining a positive attitude is a great way to approach, athletic participation and life. Being a part of the Black Student Union group as well as other leadership groups, I have learned to incorporate the differences and ideas of others to strengthen myself and those around me. As a student-athlete since middle school, I have self-confidence in my hard work ethic and team-first mentality. Investing in a person who is passionate about working hard no matter the condition. In life, oftentimes when we fail in a situation we blame those around us. I believe instead of blaming others and putting your head down, now is the time to push forward and make a long lasting name for yourself, whether it be academically, in track and field, basketball, or any other activity.
