Ever since I was a little kid and clearly understood what a college major was, I've always aspired to be in business because with business comes creativity in some areas, and that has a great connection with me. To reach this goal, I have encouraged, and still, continue to encourage myself to work harder and harder until I get to where I need to be. This doesn't necessarily have to only relate to my education, but can also relate to my team sports. Recently, the teams that I have been on, not only for Track and Field have always been fond of me for the reason that in some cases I need to fill-in for my teammates who can't make their meet whether it is my even or not. in contempt of not practicing an event specifically, I am always ready and confident that I'll do well, because I know that my attitude reflects the team that I represent.
Although there are many athletes out there that I may or may not know, I feel like I stand out because I have a special spark that will make them comfortable whether they are new to the team, or old to the team. I realize with that even I can get nervous before my meets, but I always cheer myself up by saying comforting and positive things. Academically, I have always struggled with school and realizing that the majority of my school is white, finding that comfortable feel of where I fit in can be hard. knowing this, I do not let it get to me because I know that if I do it will distract me from what's really important and what could really help me in the future which is my schoolwork. Admitting that there are times where I have sidetracked and lost sight of my path, I find the strength and I push myself to my limits because I know eventually, I would be thankful.
