Angelina Tahuite Vasquez '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Angelina Tahuite Vasquez I'm currently 16 years old and I have been running since freshman year, I graduate in 2025 from Osseo Senior High School. I found my love for track and field during my sophomore year, when my father passed and since then my #1 goal has been to make him proud, training and working toward success. 

When I train I make sure to train hard and train with purpose. Whether I'm working in a relay, or training for my next race in hurdles I always make sure to do my best and fix errors. I'm able to push out of the blocks hard and attack the first hurdle I overcome. My goal is to become a strong college athlete who can make a positive impact on the team I join and have a new purpose with a new community of athletes.

This high school season I hope to be a team captain for hurdles. I have a strong work ethic on the track and in the classroom. I like to show leadership and help whenever I can with fellow athletes. I want to be the strong hurdler and hard-working athlete of Osseo Track and Field. 

When I'm in school I'm a strong participant in class discussion and class work, maintaining good grades and a good GPA. To make an impact in my school community, I volunteer in food drives for those in need and elementary school events (carnivals, game days, etc.), I'm a part of a group called Link Crew where we make sure the new freshmen of Osseo are comfortable and feel accepted.
