The importance of education has been instilled in me since an early age. Membership in the National Honor Society and a GPA of 3.88 demonstrates my hard work ethic and commitment to education. For me, college is not only the foundation that will allow me to pursue my career goals in a Medical or Health related field, but also continue to grow as an athlete.
I am a multi-sport and year-round athlete. Downhill ski racing, competitive water skiing, mountain biking and cross country running allow me to continually cross-train and give me the endurance and strength to physically prepare each year for the sport in which I am most passionate – Track and Field. Seven Minnesota State Meet qualifications by the end of my Junior, including participation in 12 events and 4 state titles in track and 1 in alpine skiing, demonstrate my hard work, passion, and commitment to everything I do.
Not only am I always striving to be a better person, athlete and leader, but also to be part of a team that works together by setting goals and achieving great results. As captain of our Cross Country and Alpine Ski Race teams, I lead by example and encourage each individual team member to contribute 110% to themselves and the team and to do their best. How do I think my coaches may describe me - very coachable, a team player and always putting forth my best effort and almost always with a smile on my face and great attitude.
It is my desire to attend a college that will not only provide me with an excellent education that will allow me to pursue my career goals, but also realize my potential as an athlete that can make great contributions to a team - while having a great time!
