"Though she be but little, she is fierce." This Shakespeare quote has been quite accurate in describing me my whole life. I have always been on the small side, currently 4"11, and I was diagnosed with two eye issues at around 6 months old (strabismus and nystagmus). While these eye issues are mostly corrected with past surgeries, glasses and contacts, they have made sports like softball more difficult for me. Thus, I gravitated to running. I am in my Sophomore year at Redwood Valley in Redwood Falls, MN. I have been on the varsity cross-country and track teams since my 7th grade year. Our 2023 cross-country team placed 8th and our 2024 cross-country team placed 2nd in the A division at the Minnesota State Cross-Country Meets. As an individual, I finished 22 in 2024, which earned me an All-State award. I finished my freshman year with a 3.98 GPA and am currently taking AP Biology, along with other courses. I have been extremely fortunate to be on a team that fosters incredible team/family culture and am looking for a similar college environment that will provide a close-nit experience as well as push me athletically and academically. I plan to pursue a biology/pre-med major, so an institution with an outstanding academic reputation in that field is also important to me.
