2023 Spotlight
2022 HighlightsMy name is Taylor Yoder. For me, running is an outlet and a way to push myself. It not only pushes me to be a better athlete, but also a better student. It keeps me on the track of pursuing my goals and reaching my full potential. I began running in 7th grade on my middle school team. I ran again my eighth grade year. My freshman year, I was unable to run due to Covid. I then began a new private school my sophomore year. They did not have a track team. I continued to run on my own, but I missed competing against other runners very much. I left the private school that I went to and began to go to Blair Oaks High School so that I could run. The thing I looked forward to most out of everything at Blair Oaks was the ability to run for their track team. I was excited, but also nervous because I had not run a 200 or 400 meter dash full out for 2 years. In the beginning of the 2022 season I ran a 67 second 400, and by the end of the season I ran a 63 second split time. My 4x4 team took first in our district championship and made it to state. The 400 is my best and favorite race, but I also enjoy the 200 meter dash. I am very coachable, and take advice that I am given and run with it. I have a drive to do my best in every aspect of my life including track and academics. My goal is to get a degree in elementary education as well as run for a D2 school.
