I've been running since I was 4 and it has always been a major part of my upbringing. I was mainly trained by my mom, who is a well-known ultra-marathoner. I mainly run cross country and the 3200,1600,800, and 4x400 in track. I love running in high school and I want to continue that love throughout college.
I feel that I would be a good candidate on my future team purely because I have a strong competitive nature and am easily coachable as I've been told. So far, as of my sophomore year in high school, I've been running for almost 12 years. It's not only become just a sport but a lifestyle that I portray in my everyday life. The discipline that comes from running is something not many people get to experience. It takes a lot of not only physical will power, but mental will power as well, to continue putting your body through the daily challenges of being a student-athlete. I know that there are a multitude of differences between high school training and college training but I want to experience them all in the most competitive way that I can.
