Clara Lester '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Clara Lester, a Sophomore at Laurel High School. I started throwing in seventh grade once a family friend told us about track and field. My first year of track was so enjoyable that I decided to continue to track and go to Track and Field camps. I received the "Top Thrower" award for both my seventh and eighth-grade years. In my freshman year, I made it on the Varsity team for shot put and made it to Divisionals. During the summer, I started to work out every day and practice throwing with a personal throws coach. This year, I made Varsity for both shot put and discus and prequalified for both events. I recently competed at the Midland Roundtable Top 10 and was the only Sophomore there. I plan on throwing in college and maybe even professionally. I plan to improve my throwing and grow as a person even more.
