I have tried just about every event in track, starting in middle school as a thrower I took a few years off and came back my sophomore year of High School as a jumper with a few sprints. I thought jumping was my passion; however, 2 weeks before divisionals my junior year I started realizing that I wasn't having very much fun, I wasn't that good at what I was doing, and there was no way I could make state as a jumper that year, but no one was distance running in the whole state. So I walked up to my distance coach (2 weeks before divisionals) and asked to run the 3200m, he was quite flabbergasted because "that event takes months of training and you want to do it in 2 weeks?" I had always thought I would hate distance running but instead I found my overall favorite event to be the 3200m and managed to get 5th at state my first year. This next year, my senior year, I will be joining the cross country team and running distance the whole track season so I can hopefully place higher at state.
Academics wise, I have always been a very science orientated person, originally wanting to be a planetary geologist changed to wanting to be a forensic medical examiner within the investigative field after many years and a bad experience in non-biological chemistry. I have always been a straight A student, with a few high-B exceptions in recent years, and I have always strived to get my doctorates degree in whatever field I end up in.
