Personal Statement

Hi! I'm Sophie Mooney and I'm currently a Junior at Bedford High School, graduating in the class of 2024. I am a very passionate and well-rounded student-athlete. I look forward to attending a university that will assist me in achieving my academic and athletic goals. What I enjoy most about running is the challenge, and always striving to improve. Running with my teammates is by far the best part of my day. I take pride in putting our team goals ahead of my own personal goals.

Aside from running cross country and track, I competitively cross country ski for my high school team. I am an active member in clubs such as DECA (business club) and Kiwanis (volunteering club). I love learning new subjects, like finance, economics, and sociology. I hope to continue exploring my love of these subjects and improve my team running abilities in my next chapter!
